Clearing a house in Qualicum Beach
Long-held family homes where belongings have gathered over decades of ownership.
Island Estate Clearing clears, sells, cleans and plans moves for homes in Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. We handle long-tenure ranchers and low-rise strata properties where belongings have gathered over decades. We answer all enquiries within 24 hours to help you start.
In Qualicum Beach, clearing jobs are shaped by how long owners lived in their homes. A home lived in for forty years holds high volume rather than clutter, requiring careful sorting room by room. Often the executor has not been inside the house in years.
Job effort depends on total volume, what we can sell, outbuilding contents, and distance to disposal sites rather than floor space.
What's in a house held for forty years?
A forty-year single-owner rancher is usually neat, but contains decades of belongings. It is simply full. Crawlspaces, garages and spare rooms combine everyday goods with items with real resale value. Sorting through those mixed items is the main task, and we take our time doing it carefully.
What about strata and low-rise buildings?
Newer strata and patio homes require elevator bookings and specific move-out hours, which we schedule in advance. We coordinate directly with the strata board early so clearing day runs smoothly without elevator delays.
What if you don't live here?
We walk your property on your behalf, photograph and record it on video, and put every decision in writing. You don't have to fly in for the clearing itself.
What happens after the house is empty?
After emptying the home, we clean floors, carpets, kitchens, bathrooms and the yard so the property is ready to hand over.
