Clearing a house in Parksville
Homes here often represent a second downsize, holding fewer items chosen with clearer intent.
Island Estate Clearing works through strata and patio homes in Parksville on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. We sort and evaluate pre-selected contents carefully, working while probate moves ahead. You can start with us during the 21-day Form P1 notice period, and we reply within 24 hours.
A home whose owners previously downsized requires a lighter clearing effort than a long-held family estate. Most extra items were removed during an earlier move, leaving belongings that were kept on purpose.
Volume is generally lower, but a higher share of items has value, giving us more to sell for you.
What's different about a second downsize?
After an earlier move, remaining contents often skew toward quality furniture, fine jewellery, good tools and specialized collections. That is why identifying and selling comes before we begin clearing the house.
What about strata and patio-home logistics?
Patio homes and strata complexes come with move-out procedures, shared driveways and limits on where a truck can sit. We confirm these with the strata in advance so the clearing day runs to plan.
What if you're moving into a smaller place?
Not every job here follows a death. Moving into care involves measuring room layouts, packing essentials for night one, and setting the new place up so it feels comfortable right away.
What happens to the property afterwards?
Once contents are out, we clean through the property and tidy the yard before you hand over the keys.
What do we set aside for you?
Before we sell or donate anything, we gather personal belongings for you. We set aside family photos, financial records, letters, key papers, and keepsakes. Everything we collect stays safe in boxes until you look through them.
